Lagos Court Dissolves 35-Years-Old Marriage Over 21-Years s*x Starvation
Lagos court January 8 dissolved a 35-year marriage, identifying s*x starvation as one of the main reasons.
According to NAN, the relationships between Paul Odunbaku, 63, and his wife Titilayo were officially put to an end by a Mushin Customary Court as the husband could not endure the absence of s*x and continuous emotional abuse.
The court President, Rukayat Wushishi, however asked the spouses to maintain peace as they had been blessed with 6 children.
Wushishi urged Paul to continue being father to his kids, 5 of whom are already married.
The petitioner explained that there had been no love and s*x between the two spouses for the past 21 years.
He also disclosed that Titilayo threatened him with physical violence.
“My wife has starved me of s*x for over 21 years and has tried to pour acid on me. She did not stop at that, Titilayo also on one occasion threatened to stab me with a knife.
“My wife is very abusive and uses different offensive words on me whenever we have a misunderstanding and she also throws various dangerous objects at me.”
Titilayo, a school teacher, had no objections and agreed on marriage dissolution saying that she was no longer interested in their relationships.
She added that she had tried several times to settle their differences with the help of their church, but to no avail.
According to the woman, she started refusing to have s*x with her husband in fear of having more pregnancies, after delivering 6 children.
Titilayo confessed she had had to abort several pregnancies because they could not cater for more children.
